Ruskin Tomato Festival2009 Ruskin Tomato & Heritage Festival
May 2, Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm 
May 3, Sunday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

We will have the FREE TOMATO PLANTS and FREE TOMATO SLICES while the supply lasts, so come early and stay late.

All children 12 and under will be FREE, accompanied by an adult. Adults $5.


 

  • We will have the antique tractors along side the new tractors used to work the tomato fields.
  • Our Heritage is really growing every year. This year we  are going to have a wide variety of heirloom and other tomatoes to sample . We will also have a Blacksmith, Wood carvers, Spinners, Quilt makers, something really different we are going to have a Frontiersman Camp setup. We will have the OUTHOUSE in place also.
  • The Children Area will be put on by Ruskin Elementary School.
  • Lots of crafters, Farmers market, Antique car show, commercial vendors, the Blood Bank bus will be there.
  • Our FOOD COURT this year will be featuring old time "CRACKER" food. Catfish and hush puppies, fried green tomatoes, grits, swamp cabbage, and many more old timey foods.
So, ya'll come on down to the RUSKIN TOMATO  AND HERITAGE FESTIVAL on May 3rd & 4th at E.G. Simmons Park in Ruskin (map).
